العائلة والبيت والروتين اليومي: أول 100 كلمة

هذه الكلمات تظهر أولًا في كل حديث ودرس وامتحان تقريبًا على مستوى A1. تعلّموها في مجموعات صغيرة، لا في قائمة واحدة طويلة.

العائلة

• الوالدان: mother / mum، father / dad
• الأبناء: son، daughter، child (الجمع children)
• الجيل نفسه: brother، sister
• الأوسع: grandmother، grandfather، aunt، uncle، cousin
• الزوجان: husband، wife، partner

I have one brother and two sisters. My parents live in Turin.

انتبهوا: people جمع person، وchildren جمع child. ولا تأخذ أيّ منهما ‎-s.

الإنجليزية أقل تفصيلًا من العربية

العربية تميّز بين جهة الأب وجهة الأم، والإنجليزية لا تميّز:

ابن العم، ابن الخال، ابن العمة، ابن الخالة… (وبناتهم)	cousin

فإن أردتم التحديد، فاشرحوه: my dad's brother، my mum's sister. وcousin كلمة واحدة للذكر والأنثى ولكل الجهات.

كيف تصفون عائلتكم

• I'm an only child. (لا إخوة ولا أخوات)
• I'm married / single / divorced.
• my older brother · my younger sister (لا «more old»)
• step- لعائلة الوالد الجديدة: stepmother، stepbrother
• -in-law لأقارب الزوج أو الزوجة: mother-in-law، brother-in-law

لاحظوا: grandparents تشمل الاثنين، وفي my parents' house تأتي الفاصلة العليا بعد s.

الغرف وأشياء البيت

كلمتان للسكن: house بيت مستقل، وflat (في الولايات المتحدة apartment) شقة داخل مبنى كبير. ومما يفيد أيضًا: upstairs، downstairs، garden، balcony، front door، stairs، ground floor.

الروتين اليومي

أفعال اليوم العادي بالترتيب:

wake up → get up → have a shower → get dressed → have breakfast → go to work / go to school → have lunch → come home → have dinner → go to bed

أمران يستحقان الملاحظة:

• have تُستخدم مع الطعام والاغتسال: have breakfast، وhave lunch، وhave a shower. والعربية تقول «أفطر» و«أتغدّى» بفعل واحد، أما الإنجليزية فتحتاج إلى have + الاسم. ولا تقولوا make breakfast إن كنتم تقصدون أكله.
• get up وwake up مختلفان: أولًا wake up (تفتحون أعينكم)، ثم get up (تنهضون من السرير).

وأفعال أخرى تملأ اليوم الحقيقي: brush my teeth، get ready، catch the bus، do my homework، watch TV، tidy up، do the washing-up، take the dog out، fall asleep.

Have أم do أم make؟

ثلاثة أفعال تغطي كل أعمال البيت تقريبًا، والإنجليزية توزّعها بالعادة لا بالمنطق:

لاحظوا هذا الزوج: العشاء أولًا make (يُطبخ)، ثم have (يُؤكل).

كيف تقولون «متى»

• every day / every morning
• at seven o'clock — مع الوقت المحدد
• in the morning / afternoon / evening
• at night (لا in the night)

I get up at half past six in the morning every day.

أضيفوا first، then، after that — وستستطيعون بناء يوم كامل: First I have a shower, then I have breakfast.

تعلّموا هذا عبارات لا كلمات. Have a shower، وcatch the bus، وgo to bed — لا يُستنتج أيّ منها من الكلمات المنفردة، وكلها تخرج خطأً إن ترجمتم الفعل وحده. احفظوا الكتلة كاملة.

نجمع كل شيء

I live in a small flat with my sister. There are two bedrooms and a kitchen. I wake up at seven, have a shower, and go to work at eight.
