Yiyecek kelime dağarcığı A2'de en hemen kullanışlı gruplardan biridir, ve beraberinde bir dilbilgisi sorunu getirir, bu yüzden ikisini birlikte öğrenmeye değer.

How many eggs? ama How much bread?

Sayılamaz bir yiyecekten bir miktar için, bir kap veya bir birim kullanın:

• a bottle of water, a glass of juice, a cup of tea
• a slice of bread / cake, a piece of cheese
• a kilo of rice, a packet of pasta
• a tin of tomatoes, a jar of jam, a bar of chocolate

Sipariş vermek

"I'll have…", sipariş vermenin standart, doğal yoludur. I want the soup dilbilgisel olarak sorun değildir ama bir İngiliz kulağına sert gelir.

Sayılabilir kuralı yiyecek hakkında değil kelime hakkındadır. Bread sayılamazdır ve a sandwich sayılabilirdir, ikisi de farklı şekillerde aynı madde olsa bile.
